Great time to capture the laughing moment! The expressions are always priceless and important in portraitures and I think you've got that aspect right on this count.

Still, I thought that you could have moved a little more to the left where you could see more of the right eye and thus show more of what we needed to see on the face.

I also felt that the contrast was a little too much because of the loss of detail in the eyes which has now gone dark.

The immense amount of sharpness of the picture also slightly irks me as too much detail jumps at my eyes and I begin to get irritated and lose focus as a result.

Perhaps you could lessen the post-process sharpen, which I'm assuming you used a high pass overlay? It seems that way as it looks a tad overdone. A simple run through of high pass at 1.0 and overlaying the layer might just do the trick I reckon!

I think you have a good eye for these portraits, bear in mind the rule of thirds, positioning, expressions and spontaneous moments even in capturing just a face. It works wonders!
